Handheld Sewing Machine Not Stitching! Try This Easy Solution | Handy Stitch

Handheld Sewing Machine Not Stitching:-Hi, Rishabh here from GirlsGroupLinks.com today in this article I’ll be showing you a possible solution to try if your handheld sewing machine is not stitching.

Okay, so this is one of the biggest questions I get in my how to operate a handheld sewing machine comment section on YouTube okay so at the moment when I put my fabric under the needle and I go to sew it’s not giving me anything. No stitches at all okay. So usually the solution to try first is to check the needle so todo this I’m just going to lock my machine.

I’m actually going to take the battery out as well because I don’t want to sew my finger by accident, okay and you need to get the arm of the handheld machine into the highest position.

Okay and then I’m just going to take this plastic cover off just for demonstration purposes but you don’t need to do that.

Okay so here you can see there’s a plastic part with a screw and that holds the needle in place so at the moment the needle is far too high so just grab a screwdriver to loosen the screw and the needle should be almost flush with the top of that plastic holder there.

Okay so I’m just going to push that down and actually while I’m here the other thing to check on your needle at the top of the needle there will be a flat part and a rounded part so you need to make sure the flat part of the needle is facing the screw, okay and then that will make sure the eye of the needle is aligned for the thread to go through the proper way.

Okay right so I’m just going to push my needle down so you should just be able to pull or grab some pliers to pull it down okay so there that’s almost pretty much flush I can just probably see a little bump at the top there but that’s fine and then you need to tighten the screw back up as tight as you can without threading the screw.

Okay, I’m just going to put the plastic arm cover back on. okay and now you can see my needle is just that little bit lower so I’m gonna replace my needle sorry replace the battery and just check that it’s sewing now.

So I’ve lowered my needle I’m making sure that the eye of the needle is going… facing the front of the machine I suppose.

Put the fabric in Unlock it all right there you go it’s now stitching again okay so give that a go so lower the needle make sure it’s flush with the top of that plastic part don’t know if you can see it so you should be able to just see the top of the needle when you look through this plastic bit here make sure that the needle is facing in the correct direction okay and give that a whirl.

let me know how you go in the comments down below if you found it useful and don’t forget to share with your friends.

I’ll see you next time. Bye!
